Eastern WA Photographer | Mr & Mrs B.

Earlier this summer we had the privilege of shooting the engagement session with these two remarkable people, have now been married for *almost* one week!

Besides the fact that they are always sharing laughs, they both radiate when the other shows up on the scene, no matter the time of day.  That sparkly bit is evidence enough that no matter what life has thrown their way, they remain one another's faithful champion... and that alone indicates their love is meant to last throughout the eternities. Our most heartfelt love & congratulations to them both!

Home is ALWAYS Where the Heart Is...

...therefore, be sure your heart is with those who matter MOST.
Then you'll always be happy to be home.

Spent a chilly, yet beautiful fall Friday with these fabulous people!  What made the day exciting is the fact that it was our first opportunity to get together to shoot in all 20 of the years we've known them.  For example, Nana in this family?  Our own photographer spent many years calling her Mom, due to how much time the girls spent together.  And the oldest of Nana's grandkids goes to high school with our own daughter!

Considering the long history & tender spot in our hearts for them, it truly was a treat to spend that Friday afternoon making memories and snagging sweet moments with the camera.

Without even knowing them in person, it is still not difficult to see how very blessed this family is.  The kids are sweet & patient, adorable & handsome...and they all have the biggest hearts.  Our other favorite thing about them is how obvious it is that they belong to one another.  No matter how different life's details can become, it is apparent that they would not be complete without each other.   That alone is a substantial legacy to be a part of!

May the holiday season to come bring happiness, and may the years bring an even greater abundance of blessings their way.

'Tis the Family Season

With the holidays fast-approaching, it's hard not to yearn for the company of those who are most like ourselves, who share the same history, who are part of the same legacy & love us.

To celebrate family togetherness, with family that is not always nearby one another
...or who may soon not be within close geographic proximity each other, our siblings got together for some adventures in Olympia, WA.  We may not have the most orthodox family, but we have the strongest connection there is no doubt.  Love them beyond words!

In this time of year when we all reflect on the things most precious to us, be sure to express gratitude for your own family.  Hold them close to you, and relish every moment spent with them.  No one else on this earth can relate the way your loved ones can.

(Don't they look like rockstars just chilling at a train station?  Love it!)

{T & C}

There are many great pairs out there, like Bert & Ernie... peanut-butter & jelly... salt & pepper. Less than minutes around these two, and it is obvious that they have found their equal in each other. Not equal in the sense of a carbon-copy of each other, instead they compliment one another. Where one may struggle with a weakness, that area seems to be the other's strength, and vice versa. It was a privilege to witness their happiness together.

We've photographed these two earlier this year, however, sadly they were again in town this month for the funeral of C's mom. Despite the heartbreaking tragedy, rather than dwell in complete mourning, they wanted to instead honor her mother by capturing the moment as she had always taught. Therefore we couldn't pass up the opportunity to take portraits of them together in their dress uniforms. In the wake of heartache, happiness silently stands by waiting for the clouds to part. Together, T & C will continue to shelter one another from the storms & dance in the light along the road of life.

SENIOR PREVIEW: mr. a

Three words: what a guy! Mr. A is an outstanding fellow.  Easily adaptable, he makes friends wherever he goes.  Perhaps that due to the fact that he is not only smart but easy on the eyes.  Trust us, the girls swoon!   Not hard to to see why, as occasionally during his shoot that it felt less like a senior portrait session & more like a Jason Aldean photo shoot!

Great looks aside, some of his strongest characteristics are a fantastic sense of humor, a sincere kindness when reaching out to others, a great love of the outdoors, a vibrant appreciation for good old-fashioned values, and an unshakable sense of who he is now & how his current choices will help him fulfill his potential. His counterparts of this generation could learn a lot from his example!

As if all that wasn't enough, Mr. A enjoys spending time with his family, attending Running Start classes at the local college, dominating in rodeo & hanging out with friends. Safe to say he has a full plate, however more importantly it is one plentiful in rich blessings.

After graduation, he plans to serve a proselytizing mission for his church, followed by finishing his college education, and eventually getting married & starting a family. There is no doubt that he will be a great leader, one that will help enrich the world.   Whether that leadership is seen within his community, his church, or even simply within the walls of his home, we will all be the beneficiaries of his wisdom.

Mr. A, nothing but good things shall come your way as you remain diligent in the pursuit of your own excellence.  Best of luck!

FAMILY PREVIEW: the M family

Here's one of the most easy-going, down-to-earth families we've had the privilege of photographing.  All the kids came equipped with boots on their feet, smiles on their faces, and solid senses of humor --- definitely a family after our own hearts!
Mom & Dad M have been blessed with some great children, and have taught them to appreciate the value of a hard day's work.  As a result these kids aren't afraid to jump into the pool of life, BOTH feet-first.  Each one has a well-planned future ahead of them, from careers to college to military service, and have practical, yet optimistic outlooks.  What a treat to hear all the details of the places they've been & to see where they're all headed.
Thank you to the M's, the session was literally our pleasure!
